A good book to read, organised chronologically for the whole of Sicilian bronze age, and, as the Author points out in his preface, pulls together not only his own research but some little discovery of archaeology enthusiasts, mostly published in scattered form in small provincial newspapers. From the finds in remote and steep areas of Sicily and ceramic wares found by the same author in one of mentioned dolmens, this research paper explores and analyses the development of prehistoric society in a land, Sicily, generally much better known for the big greek culture. W.L.

Who wants to know about the prehistory of Sicily, is this the book! The essay is a mine of scientific information. The book discloses one of the big news that the island has registered in recent years: the presence of dolmens of small size, present in several Mediterranean areas. If you added the unusual simplicity of language and the brevity of the speech (limited exclusively to the new data), I can certainly say that it's a text for everyone, researchers and ... apprentices. M.S.

Great book, small just enough not to bore. The author has a great ability to synthesize, and with commendable expertise he address the archaeological topic clearly and in a few lines. Indeed, it is easy to understand, even for the beginners. Into a few pages is condensed all Sicilian Prehistory, with a wealth of data and explanatory notes that make it an "easy" scientific essay. Also in Sicily there are the dolmens and this book gives us the proof! I recommend it to anyone who loves this land of "myths" and its archeology. Stephan, Archaeology student
