Emmy Harris, news correspondent, and mother of college age twins, flees Atlanta on her doctor's advice in order to recover from a traumatic event. She rents the guesthouse of Parker Steelman (Steel) a rancher who lives near Santa Fe, New Mexico but later regrets her decision after being subjected to his anger, insensitivity and cruel remarks.
