A Child A Mother Should Love (Paperback)

Volume One I woke up somewhat later than I intended. I had been lax in my routine to get my exercise program started once again, so I hurriedly got dressed and left the house. I decided to cut across the yard to save some time. As I did, something caught my attention. There was a large rambling home with a porch across the front. I had never paid too much attention to it before. I saw a beautiful young girl standing there in a lovely pink dress. I suppose the color was what caught my eye I thought to myself, "Her parents have to be so proud of her, she is lovely." I turned to continue my run, and I stepped on a small branch. The branch crunched under my feet and I looked over at the young girl. When my eyes met hers I was startled by the emptiness and lack of emotion on her face. Her eyes were vacant and she appeared numb. What went on in this home and what had caused the emptiness in this young girl's stare? Jill Hawkins got out of bed, and for a fleeting moment thought about her daughter Annie. The moment left as quickly as it had come and she stretched and laughed out loud. "I haven't been this happy for a long time " she told herself. "I am starting over again and I won't look back. It's my way now, all the way up and no one will interfere with my plans If they try, they will be very sorry Now it's time to go and make myself beautiful."
