A Guide for Young Africans Growing up Overseas (Paperback)

Today there are millions of African children living outside the continent or outside their own countries. The school curriculums do not include much positive information on Africa and with parents ever so busy, many of the children do not get enough information on the continent. Most importantly they do not receive enough guidance on how Africans live and how to be successful in life. This book offers introductory information on Africa and provides guiding chapters on studying at school, dealing with discrimination, becoming a teenager, the danger of drugs, sports, choosing a career, sexual relationships, and marriage. It is a good beginning for parents to initiate discussions with the children. It will also stimulate the children to ask more questions, and learn more about Africa. Many of the chapters that will be useful to all African children who live in Africa and some chapters will provide guidance to non-African children too.
