Distributed Architecture of CBR based Intelligent Tutoring System (Paperback)

As the World Wide Web becomes more and more important, Web based ITS systems also became important in today's world. Knowledge-based educational software, such as intelligent tutoring systems, has historically been a large, self-contained program with specialized platform requirements. To reduce the cost of materials prepared by developers, and to enable greater collaboration between users, representations of educational materials should be shareable among diverse applications across the Internet. With the WWW as an educational platform, it will be feasible for the students to access the courseware with general-purpose browsers The book aims at developing a distributed CBR based student modeling architecture for enhancing and sustaining learning between the case base reasoning and student modeling for ITS. In this process the Case Based Reasoning system play complementary and mutually supportive roles in the decision-making process.
