Entering the Army at 18 he was assigned to Berlin, Germany during the Airlift of 1948 and 1949. Restless he sought assignment to the Korean War but instead ended up in Paris, France. There, meeting the love of his life, a beautiful woman from Stockholm, Sweden who had been Miss Stockholm in 1948. He married and was re--assigned to the States. After serving in San Francisco and Fort Meade, Maryland he landed an assignment to The White House in Washington, D.C. There, serving under Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson he completed his career in the Army. He relates many experiences, some funny and some sad but all too true to go unknown in history.
