Medicines metabolised by P450 2D6, 2C9 and 1A2 include amitriptyline, codeine, desipramine, flecainide, haloperidol, imipramine, metoprolol, ondansetron, paroxetine, risperidone, tramadol, venlafaxine, clozapine, cyclobenzaprine, fluvoxamine, haloperidol, imipramine, mexiletine, olanzapine, pentazocine, propranolol, tacrine, theophylline, zileuton, zolmitriptan, amitriptyline, diazepam, estradiol, tacrine, verapamil, warfarin, zileuton and others. Hepatotoxic medicines: There is concern that black cohosh might be linked to cases of liver failure and autoimmune hepatitis. Taking black cohosh with hepatotoxic medicines may increase the risk of liver damage.
