That year aerial photographs were taken to see how this was progressing. Copies of the photographs were sent to different interested countries and one found its way to the British Museum in London. This particular photograph showed the area in the Boco do Acre region of western Brazil near the Peruvian border. Copies of this photograph were given to their group of senior students to study and one very sharp-eyed student spotted something that leads us to this story, read on.
