The story revolves around a young farm worker who meets a witch and joins in a hunt for The Talisman, a very powerful spell that is trapped inside a locket. If it is ever opened it can destroy all magic. In his questFor the Talisman he meet creatures he never knew existed, apart from witches and wizards he also comes across Trolls, Gargoyles not to mention a whole host of spells, charms and a vast cavern full of magical energy. There are times when he and his family are in mortal danger, but he has to see it through to the end.
